CW-System for motorcycles – safe ride on the rear wheel: FAQ

What are the advantages of learning wheelies with the help of the CW-System?

Considering the back flip protection, the driver has a chance to try to lift the bike up onto the rear wheel aggressively and by doing so he can gain the right estimate of the correct dose of gas along with the slip of the clutch ( this is not possible without the use of the CW-System). When the speed in which to achieve the chosen angle is too high, it can cause a partial surpass by the influence of momentum. At this surpass the driver can experience feelings, thanks to which he can learn to faster estimate the correct speed in which to achieve the angle of lifting the bike up onto the rear wheel. Another advantage when learning to shift into the higher gears while doing wheelie is that the driver has a protection against the back flip of the motorcycle when he chooses an incorrect gear. Use of the CW-System speeds up the learning process.

What speed makes the CW-System the most efficient?

For the rider to reach the very limits of the CW-System efficient backflip protection, he would have to create such inertia, by lifting the bike rapidly, thanks to which he would exceed the preset angle by an additional 70 cm or more by lifting the front wheel beyond the set angle. The CW-System has the highest efficiency during the initial bike lifting of the front wheel in speed 30 – 35 km per hour up to reaching the speed of 100 km per hour while doing a wheelie.

Can you describe the installation of the CW-System in a greater detail?

The CW-System consists of three basic parts - the controller, the controller bracket and the splitter. The splitter has a cylindrical shape with dimensions of 130 x 32 mm, which is equipped with cable hoses and it´s mounted onto the bike instead of the original gas cable hose. The installation doesn´t require any adjustments to the original state of the machine. When installing you just need to remove the parts preventing the access to the gas cable hose (in most motorcycles it means removing the fuel tank and the air box). The controller bracket is mounted onto the rear wheel shafts and is connected by the cable hose to the splitter. This bracket may be removed from the bike at any time, without having to remove the splitter. The presence of the splitter and the controller bracket on the bike doesn´t limit the operation in normal use. To learn to ride a wheelie, mount the controller onto the bracket. The installation of the controller requires no tools and takes no longer than 15 seconds. Some types of motorcycles will allow you to place the controller into the storage area under the seat, after removing it. The CW-System installation, including the photographs, is described in the user manual.

Can you mount the CW-System designed for one certain type of motorcycle mount onto a different types of motorcycles?

No, you can only apply it to that certain type of motorcycle.

Can you mount the CW-System onto a bike with an overhung rear wheel?

Yes.

How do I recognize boundaries of the CW-System efficiency on a bike which is not in the original condition?

Reaching the desired angle too quickly will, by the influence of a grater persistence, cause a partial surpass of the chosen angle. This surpass is recorded by a control gauge, which indicates the boundaries of effectiveness. The CW-System has the highest efficiency at the initial uplift of a motorcycle onto the rear wheel in speed range 30 - 35 km per hour. When in setting 1, it´s impossible for most motorcycles at this speed to reach such speed, that could be recorded by the control gauge, when trying to attain the desired angle. You can try to achieve the desired angle the fastest possible way in this setting, so that you can find out if this speed is recorded by the gauge. Subsequently, you can partially enlarge the angle of the bike uplift onto the rear wheel and by the gradual repetitive speed increase, in order to achieve the chosen angle of the uplift, you will get the idea of how much can you exceed the optimal speed of getting to chosen angle, due to the control gauge efficiency of signaling.

Can you mount the CW-System onto a bike with a carburetor?

The CW-System can be mounted onto a bike with carburetor and fuel injection. The basic requirements for mounting are the four-stroke engine and fuel injectors, or the carburetor linked to gas handle by the cable hose (can´t be mounted onto a bike with an electronic gas handle).

How does the CW-System work?

The CW-System operates on the base of gas regulation, which means that when you attain the desired angle of elevation on the rear wheel, the CW-System will regulate the amount of gas, therefore it will prevent its surpassing.

Can I use the CW-System on the road in normal traffic?

The CW-System is designed for sports use off the public roads. The CW-System serves as an educational tool to increase the safety while learning to ride a motorcycle wheelie.

How difficult is it to mount the CW-System?

The manual includes photo documentation which show the CW-System installation procedure. The installation does not require  any adjustments to the original state of machine. This is only an exchange of the original gas cable hose for the CW-System cable hose.

Does the CW-System improves the engine performance?

No, the CW-System only regulates the amount of gas given.

Does the manual include the instructions on how to ride a wheelie?

Yes, the manual contains basic information about riding on the rear wheel.

Why does the manual recommend a minimum speed of 30 km per hour while doing a wheelie?

When you decrease the amount of gas given, the engine increases RPM and therefore the engine breaking force increases. At a lower speed the engine rotation decreases and consequently reduces the breaking force of the engine together with the CW-System.

Is the CW-System effectiveness same on the motorcycle which has modifications made to improve the engine performance?

The effectiveness may be lower or on the contrary even higher on bikes that have been modified. It depends on how the modification impacts the engine breaking force in case of giving less gas. The CW-System is equipped with a control gauge to recognize the efficiency.
